La Galería Juana de Aizpuru tiene el placer de presentar “For Sale”, la primera exposición personal de Tania Bruguera en Madrid. Para esta ocasión se pondrán a la venta 8 performances de la artista.



Durante el mes de la exposición la galería se transformará en un espacio de documentación y archivo donde se podrá acceder a la información sobre las piezas que están a la venta. El archivo será engrosado con la nueva performance que realizará la artista en la galería.



Habrá una obra en subasta: "Obra nueva que no existe - todavía -" que consiste en una performance que no se ha realizado, ni ha sido concebida, pero que existirá y será expuesta en el futuro.



Los compradores de las performances firmarán un contrato que les dará derechos sobre la artista con respecto a su tiempo, disponibilidad y exhibición de las piezas.





Tania Bruguera es una artista conocida internacionalmente por su novedoso trabajo conceptual en cuyo imaginario se combinan estrategias políticas, de conducta social, rumor y utopía.



Su trabajo ha sido parte de importantes exposiciones como la Documenta 11 y las bienales de Venecia ediciones 49 y 51, Sao Paolo, La Habana, Kwangju, Johannesburgo, Santa Fe, entre otras. Su obra es parte de colecciones públicas y privadas en Estados Unidos y Europa.





Juana de Aizpuru Gallery has the pleasure to announce “For Sale”, Tania Bruguera’s first solo show in Madrid. For the occasion 9 performances of the artist will be for sale.



During the month of exhibition the gallery will function as a space for documentation and archive where information about the pieces for sale could be accessed. The archive will grow with the new performances the artist will do at the gallery and in other places in the world throughout the month of the exhibition.



There will be one work for auction: ³New work that doesn¹t exist ­ yet ­³ which consist on a performance which has not been performed , nor conceived but that will exist and will be exhibited in the future.



The buyers of the performances will sign a contract which will give them rights over the artist in terms of her time, availability and exhibition of the pieces.



Tania Bruguera is best known internationally for conceptually challenging works whose imagery combines political strategy, social behaviour, rumour and utopia.



Her work has been widely exhibited in museums and galleries around the world among others at Documenta 11, Venice Bienale ed. 49 and 51, Sao Paolo, La Habana, Kwangju, Johannesburgo and Santa Fe. Her work is part of public and private collections in United States and Europe.
